There has been a recent trend in the workplace to allow employees to work from home. For some employees with ADHD, this could be an accommodation, especially if you struggle with the ever growing distraction of the cubicle farm. Also known as telework, working from home has many benefits, such as reduced stress from commuting and improved work-life balance. It has become possible because of advances in technology that allow employees to connect remotely to their employer’s servers, to attend team meetings through advanced teleconferencing services and to access high-speed Internet from home.

As an employee with ADHD working from home is also met with challenges, such as household distractions, loneliness and other challenges. In this section, we will offer resources for those of you who are either working from home or are considering it.
